Lately I’ve been decorating my home in a mid-century modern style, drawn to the warmth and honesty of wooden pieces. As I looked closer, I noticed how no two were the same. The rings, the grain, the texture—each board had its own unique story etched into it by time. It reminded me of something else: the human fingerprint.
Both wood and fingerprints carry natural, organic patterns that are never duplicated etched lines, layered curves, entirely one-of-a-kind. That similarity struck me.
